Value of Speech

Humans born and die and during the life span go through various phases of their own development. They can see and feel. The can listen and speak. They get ideas and reflect ideas. They are gifted with many faculties which they are left free to use throughout their life as responsible persons. Whatever they utter meaningfully it has an effect, an impact and a reaction in the environment, in the society and even within in themselves. The whole business of life is carried out by the words they speak to each other. It is these words that become teaching, learning, contracts, examinations, results, reports, appointments, invitations, acceptances, denials, rejections, verdicts, awards, judgments, prizes, punishments and so on. The expression of truthfulness and falsity is also by this faculty of our tongue. All communications of all sorts take place by this divine gift. Science and technology have been learnt through the media of this language and this language is now leading them to various ways. Divine injunctions to do or not to do any act are also translated, transliterated and transcribed by this very instrument from people to people and place to place and era to era. 

All sweetness and bitterness among relations are caused by this speech. The love and hatred are produced by it. Complexities and confusions are created by its twisting and solutions come forward by its straightforwardness. It is the speech whereby sorrows and miseries are caused and also redressed and comforted. A little slip in tongue causes a separation of years long and some times reunion becomes impossible or highly remote. 

As responsible human beings we must consider well before uttering any word. This would be the best policy to remain positive and constructive in all affairs. This world of us is world of mutual dealings and mutual dealings are to run the affairs on this earth. When speech is pure, truthful and honest the impact created is the confidence in the hearts of the others. Both the truthfulness and falsity have their peculiar attributes and  signs which do appear sooner or later. Falsehood bears darkness, concealment, fraud, causing or intending to cause harm to others. Truthfulness is free from such elements. It is to clear all shades of pollution and bring neat and clean view of the things intended or presented. Emotions and passions have t heir own value and they do play their part in the speech but a good speech is never over influenced by emotions, rather it brings them to balance. A dispute that can be solved by mutual discussion and debate should not be put to daggers. World has become a global village and the qualities and niceties of the language which generate all speech are coming to light and a fraternal atmosphere has become possible for the whole mankind.

Value of the speech lies in it that it is the distinction of human beings that they are social and speaking creation. Value of speech also lies in it that knowledge is light and all shining comes by it and all darkness goes away instantaneously.
